college life
While reading the piece called "A rose for Emily", it made me wonder about how other people might feel bad for someone just cause of their life, and not because they are a good person. My opinion of sympathy for someone is that you have to actually care for someone to have sympathy for them, or its an oxymoron. Its like saying " hey mom i'm going to eat at the healthy Mcdonalds instead of the not healthy one." It simply just doesn't make any sense. Also, in anatomy the whole class found out a lot of bad things about Mcdonalds, but I won't ruin the beauty of where the actual food comes from. I also am going to drop my theology class, simply because i just don't get the information the professor is teaching. I understand the story of the Bible and everything, but the process in which the professor is unravleing the story is not making any sense to me; and it is obviously displayed through my first test grade :/

life
throughout english class we have been looking over the film of Lonestar. Though throughout the movie we were able to see a lot of different aspects, it wasn't until further analyzing that I was able to see more views. A lot of Lonestar, i've noticed, has to do with borders and the urge to cross them. Many borders are between parents and their children, but there are also the physical borders of Mexico and Texas. On "the other side", being Rio County sherriff doesn't mean anything. This foreshadows how having a grudge over your parents further in your life doesn''t mean anything. You can't change the past, but can only work on the present.

lone star
Throughout the following class periods, we've watched the movie Lone Star and at the beginning it seemed extremely boring. But as the story went on and the story unraveled it became more interesting. And then towards the end, the mystery started to become more revealing and the characters more interesting. Finally, the end came into the picture and it was the weirdest ending to a movie i've ever seen. For a man to make love to his half sister, find out, and then be ok with staying together with her seems absurd to me. The movie didn't really have any real "spark" until the very end. Most people would've have gone out of the movie around the half way point. But i will admit I was wanting to see the ending just so the whole movie wouldn't be a waste.

"My only bad habit" by cross canadian ragweed
I have absolutely nothing to do tonight except get ahead on my homework, and we all know, as college kids, that getting ahead is not on top of our priority list. But I like listening to music so I found this song called "My only bad habit" by cross canadian ragweed. I've only listened to ccr about four times and all four times I really enjoyed their songs. This song reminds me of my girlfriend because she is all I think about and she helps me through everything. She's always there for me, gives me advice, and had never let me down. Though i thought i would not be able to see her for two weeks, but now she said she is coming to see me thursday, so my week just got a little better.
On a "non-mushy" note, baseball is starting this week and I am pretty sure I am playing on jv and varsity, so time is not in abundance right now....
I guess i'll just have to work somethind out like i always do....
